Take a look at our overview of the 2016 Toyota Tundra release date and design to see what the newest edition has to offer.
Expected to be released early in the fall of 2015, the 2016 Toyota Tundra will improve several elements of the 2015 Toyota Tundra model. New mechanical enhancements that will be implemented in the Toyota Tundra design include a larger, 38-gallon fuel tank that will make stops for fuel more infrequent and will work in tandem with increased flex fuel capability. Another major feature that will be included in the Toyota Tundra repertoire is an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, which allows drivers to set braking power according to the weight of your load. These elements will be added to the list of features for Tundra editions employing the 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 engine.
There are countless new elements included in the 2016 Toyota Tundra design and some of our favorites will improve entertainment, connectivity and appearance. The Toyota Entune infotainment system will be upgraded to the Toyota Entune 2.5 system and will now be more readily available throughout the Toyota Tundra lineup with even standard SR models incorporating the Toyota Entune Audio system. Appearance and style will be upgraded throughout the lineup, but the 1794 Edition will see the most improvements. Equipped with a new chrome-clad front grille and gunmetal gray accents, the 1794 Edition will be a head turner and the addition of a new off-road package will make this luxury model ready to hit the trail with Bilstein shocks, 18-inch wheels and more.
What is possibly the most impressive aspect of the 2016 Toyota Tundra is the production and design of the off-road-ready TRD Pro grade. Tailor made for the trail, this trim is a highlight of the Toyota brand. This year, only 3,600 units will be produced, so get them while they are available. In order to complement the off-road performance and style of the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, the newest edition will employ black leather bucket seats and 60/40 split-folding rear seats with red accent stitching and TRD logos. In addition to a more plush interior, the 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is now offered in two new exterior colors, Quicksand and Magnetic Gray.
